Licensing Applications (1st and 2nd windows):

When submitting a proposal ensure that components are organized in the following order:

  1. RFP or 2nd Window Application Form (as applicable)
  2. Signed Proposal Submission Agreement for Producers form
  3. Declaration of Related Party Transactions Form
  4. Short and long synopsis (short is one paragraph or less; long is one page maximum)
  5. Program format and summary (identify the genre, the running time, number of episodes and provide a summary of how the story is structured, how it is told, what is the focus, how will the program will be treated in its visual and audio presentation)
  6. Script or treatment
  7. Finance Plan and Budget (if applicable, provide confirmation of other financing commitments - a second broadcaster is preferred but not required. Please also include the amount of your financial request to APTN)
  8. Corporate Information (including past production experience/broadcasting credits); APTN will not consider licensing proposals submitted by individuals or companies that do not have relevant production experience. If possible, a sample of previous work should be submitted on DVD.
  9. Incorporation documents for all Producer(s), Production Companies and Parent Company (ies), as applicable
  10. List of shareholders and ownership share
  11. List and resumes of key creative personnel/principle crew members
  12. Identify your target audience and outline the program’s relevance and appeal to APTN's audience
  13. Complete Chain of Title identifying the following: a)Writers agreements, option/purchase agreements, transfers of rights agreements and all other agreements demonstrating that the producer(s) holds the rights to the following:
    1. The creative material and concept
    2. The rights to produce, distribute and exploit the project
  14. Creative materials (such as storyboards, sketches, photos, DVD of Director and/or Producer's previous works)
  15. An Aboriginal training plan
  16. Proposed production schedule, including target dates for confirmation of funding, completion of production and proposed broadcast

Development Applications:

  1. Development Application Form
  2. Signed Proposal Submission Agreement for Producers form
  3. Proposed deliverables (what you intend to develop, i.e. script, polish, treatment, etc)
  4. Finance Plan and Budget (if applicable, provide confirmation of other financing commitments. Please also include the amount of your financial request to APTN
  5. Corporate Information (including past production experience/broadcasting credits);
  6. List and provide resumes of key creative personnel/principle crew members including Producer, Director, Writer, Researcher (if applicable)
  7. Proposal Outline (including synopsis, focus and treatment)
  8. Identification of target audience and relevance to APTN’s audience
  9. Proposed language of original production (include captioning/subtitling/dubbing plans)
  10. Proposed development schedule, including target dates for confirmation of funding, completion of production and proposed broadcast
  11. Proposed production schedule
  12. DVD of Director and/or Producer’s past work
