The National Indigenous Music Impact Study is the first of its kind in Canada. The results are now available.

This landmark study looked at the challenges, successes and barriers that the Indigenous music community faces and estimated the contributions and impacts the Indigenous music community has on Canada.

APTN and its partners engaged with those involved in the Indigenous music community, including anyone (Indigenous or non-Indigenous) who creates, promotes and supports Indigenous music in Canada. In total, 620 industry insiders completed the online survey, several group discussions took place and 70 interviews were held to gain unique insight into the industry.

Thank you to everyone who completed the survey.
