Chef Rich Francis visits the Mohawk community of Kahnawake, Q.C., where he learns about an ancient technique of spearfishing one of his favourite fish – the walleye!
Episode 2 – Lobster
Chef Rich Francis heads to the Mi’kmaq community of Lennox Island, P.E.I., where he learns about the Cadillac of shellfish – the lobster.
Episode 3 – Oyster
Still on Lennox Island, P.E.I., Chef Rich Francis discovers “the pearl of the Malpeque Bay” – oysters!
Episode 4 – Sturgeon
Back in Kahnawake, Q.C., Chef Rich Francis learns about a giant prehistoric fish that’s lived in the St. Lawrence for as long as it‘s been a river!
Episode 5 – Caribou
Chef Francis visits the Inuvialuit community of Inuvik, NWT, where he’s eager to learn about one of the most important food sources harvested on Turtle Island – the mighty caribou.
Episode 6 – Beluga
Still in Inuvik, Chef Francis is eager to learn about the largest animal harvested on Turtle Island – the beluga whale!
Episode 7 – Beaver
While visiting Inuvik, Chef Francis learns about one of the more unique food sources on Turtle Island – Canada's national animal, the beaver!
Episode 8 – Corn
Chef Francis visits the Haudenosaunee community of Six Nations, Ont., where he learns about one of the most important food sources on Turtle Island – white corn.
Episode 9 – Bass
Chef Francis visit the Mi’kmaq community of Membertou, N.S., where he’s introduced to the striped bass.
