Each year from November 5th to 11th Canadians take the time to honour those who served in times of war, military conflict and peace, and to those still serving as Canadian Armed Forces members.
November 8th, Indigenous Veterans’ Day, is the day for Canadians to recognize the special contribution of Indigenous Veterans who put their lives on the line in the cause of peace and freedom around the world. We acknowledge the achievements of the over 1,200 Indigenous, Métis and Inuit men and women who have served, and continue to serve, to protect this country and the freedom we enjoy.
APTN celebrates the heroes who returned, and honours those who gave their lives in military service. We are thankful for the sacrifices and achievements of all Canadian Veterans.
