APTN is committed to the professional development of its workforce. All employees receive support for ongoing training with up to $1,800 available for each employee per year.
Leveraging learning
The network supports First Nations, Inuit and Métis students who contribute to their community through their area of study by awarding six scholarships every year, each valued at $2,000.
A gender parity environment
As of May 25, 2021, 63% of APTN employees are of Indigenous ancestry.
APTN fosters a gender-balanced workforce with a 51% to 49% female-to-male ratio.
The Extensive Internship Program and Work Experience Program placed four students over the fiscal year, helping them acquire valuable work experience. We also placed five students in an internship or fellowship program.
