Winnipeg, Manitoba– APTN’s award-winning investigative journalist Melissa Ridgen has been named co-host/producer for APTN National News and host of APTN’s interactive talk show InFocus. Ms. Ridgen will join Dennis Ward on the desk Monday, June 4th, 2018.
Melissa Ridgen, a proud Red River Métis joined APTN in 2009 after more than a decade writing for newspapers. She has been a journalist for more than 20 years, covering everything from crime and courts to politics, Indigenous affairs, and business. Ridgenhas been nominated for a number of awards and in 2016 won a Canadian Association of Journalists award for her story Hurting for Work on APTN Investigates.
