About Spirit of Birth
Spirit of Birth is an eight-part docuseries hosted by Anishinaabe mother and filmmaker Rebeka Tabobondung. Through reflections on Rebeka’s personal experience of motherhood as well as intimate stories with midwives, birth workers and expectant families, Spirit of Birth honours the sacred journey of childbirth and highlights how Indigenous communities across Canada are reclaiming their traditional birth practices.
