After careful deliberation, APTN will be moving the premiere of Hockey Night in Canada in Cree on APTN to Saturday, March 5, 2022 for the Vancouver vs. Toronto game at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT.
With the rising number of COVID-19 cases and potential staff shortages, as well as navigating cross-country travel for our on-air talent, we quickly realized that rescheduling our broadcast is the only way to move forward. This decision reinforces our ongoing commitment to ensuring the health and safety of our APTN production team.
This was a difficult decision to make, but we’re confident it’s the right one. We’re looking forward to sharing the Cree language and hitting the ice with Canadians across the country on March 5, 2022.
